Owner/Operator of The Living Room Counseling Services
Aubrey H.S. Roberts is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider in Johnson City, Tennessee. Aubrey is an alumna of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and East Tennessee State University. She is an EMDR therapist eager to engage with you in deeply meaningful exploration and growth.
Aubrey’s work derives from the idea that all people carry large backpacks full of life. In her office, folks may bring their heavy bag, unzip it, and shake the contents out onto her floor. Together, the two work diligently and peacefully to sort through the rubbish. It is her professional mission to help tidy, organize, and repack the bags of those willing to share their mess. Everyone has one.
In addition to trauma and suffering, Aubrey is passionate about perinatal mental health and sexual difficulties. Let nothing be embarrassing here. Let's take our shoes off, get comfy on the couch, and talk about the nitty gritty. All parts of life can be fully lived. As a survivor of postpartum mental illness, she knows intimately the depths and fears of this time in life.

BRAD DAVIS
LPC-MHSP
Owner/Operator North Star Counseling LLC.
Brad Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received his Master’s degree in Counseling from East Tennessee State University. He has more than nine years of experience as a psychotherapist. Brad provides therapy to people from all walks of life and tailors counseling to each individual. He meets people right where they are to help them take steps towards the life they want.
Brad was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and, although he has lived in several different places, he always felt the Tri-Cities was home. He is married and has two small children who keep him busy. Brad is passionate about coffee, music, and cooking. He plays multiple stringed instruments and roasts his own coffee.
Brad believes that people who struggle with their thoughts and feelings are often just looking for a way to be the person they want to be and sometimes get lost along the way. They want to hold true to their personal values when making choices in life, but have trouble finding a way forward. Brad believes that, through therapy, people can learn new and creative ways to respond to those thoughts and feelings so they can get back to living a life guided by their values.
Brad Davis has his own private practice named North Star Counseling LLC. Brad takes BCBS of TN, Optum/United Healthcare, Cigna, and Aetna private insurances and also has a sliding scale fee for self-pay clients.
Meet the Interns
Interns are students who are participating in a graduate program to obtain their master's degree in clinical counseling. Internships are required to meet the criteria for graduating and offer the student the opportunity to practice what they have learned in a clinical setting with experienced counselor supervision. It's the first step to helping the student learn what it is like to sit in the chair and spread their wings for their counseling career.
